Join Me On Substack: The new home for the CREED Design Blog

Its been a while since I’ve shared on update here because I’ve been working on moving the original design blog on our main interior design site over to Substack. If you’re not familiar with it, Substack is a platform dedicated to writers and long format content creators very much like old school Blogger or Blogspot days where I began blogging in 2008. It’s hard to believe I’ve been blogging for 17 years! To this day its still the format I enjoy and crave the most, if not even more now with less and less desire to spend time on scrolling feeds.

To embrace the change to this new format and more personal style of content I’ve decided to drop the original blog name for this next chapter and from now on will be writing under the Substack title Becoming Home. Its a subscriber based format so posts will only be viewable to subscribers - subscription is FREE.

For me the subscriber aspect of Substack is significant because it means you’re writing for people who’ve expressed interest in what you have to share, versus posting it to the anonymity of the internet - that’s motivating in itself. Its also all findable and shareable to everyone on the Substack platform. Posts are delivered like a newsletter - each sent directly to subscribers inboxes, BUT better, posts are also published on my Substack page, where they’ll live permanently - categorized and archived, for subscribers to view anytime (and comment or share it).

To everyone who subscribed to the Creed Blog, any future posts you receive in your inbox will be from the new Substack. To all subscribers of The Design Shop (TDS), you’ll continue to periodically receive inbox updates specifically about TDS services, new guides or other resources available on the website. As current subscribers you’ll ALL automatically receive the next new post on Substack. If you’d like to stop receiving them, simply use the unsubscribe option at the bottom of the email - but I really hope you’ll hang around to check out some of the new content over the next few months.

The Design Shop blog will remain here and continue to be updated, check back anytime.
